Mission Ascension: an original team building activity for your corporate event in the Alps
Have you ever compared life in a company to climbing a high-altitude mountain, requiring even a bit of mountaineering? Both are punctuated with obstacles, memorable moments, and a team that must stick together to keep moving forward. This is exactly what we aimed to recreate when we designed Mission Ascension as a team-building activity!
In this immersive event, you will be divided into different "ropes of mountaineers", where everyone must play their part in the proposed challenges: guide, camp assistant, cook, porters... By leveraging each person's talents and developing a spirit of trust, mutual aid, and cohesion (just like in the mountains), overcome the challenges and be the first group to earn the most points and reach the summit (purely hypothetical, of course)!
Of course, where there are teams, there are ropes! Each team member will be connected by a climbing rope as you tackle a crazy obstacle course and finish it as quickly as possible, without penalties! For your winter team building, you will build an igloo to shelter all your colleagues! You will need to replicate mountain knots precisely to ensure everyone's safety, and you will set up and take down your camp at a formidable speed because, yes, a storm is coming... And these are just some of the challenges that await you during our Mission Ascension! So, are you ready?

The course of your team building in Savoie and Haute-Savoie
Upon your arrival at the activity site, your facilitators will welcome you. After getting acquainted, they will explain the outline of the upcoming challenge with a brief presentation of the tasks. They will then proceed to form the teams. Teams are created either randomly or based on instructions you provide before the event. Indeed, you might want certain colleagues who don’t often see each other to be together, as building connections is the foundation of any team-building activity.
Colleagues gather, assign roles within the team, and embark on the first challenge of Mission Ascension, competing against another team. After a detailed explanation of the activity, the two teams face off, either in a speed or precision challenge. The facilitator notes the winner and sends the competitors to a new challenge where they meet another team. Over approximately two and a half hours of team building, you will rotate through various games, encountering each group of colleagues at least once, with the aim of winning as many challenges as possible.
After completing all the activities, everyone will gather around for a light snack while the facilitators tally the points. They will then join you for the award ceremony (which is really worth it, if you need some extra motivation). Finally, don’t forget to capture the moment with a beautiful group photo, set against the idyllic backdrop of Savoie or Haute-Savoie, at the foot of the mountains or by the lake!
