Day 1 - Guided Visit of Chamonix with Wine and Cheese tasting
Upon your arrival in Chamonix, you will meet your knowledgeable and passionate private local guide, who will interest you with her stories.
During your guided tour of Chamonix, delve into its legendary history. Renowned for its alpine exploits, Chamonix has been the starting point for numerous historic expeditions, including the first ascent of Mont Blanc in 1786. Discover the heroes of this saga depicted on a mural. Chamonix, dubbed the "World Capital of Mountaineering," is also a popular destination for skiing in winter and hiking in summer.
You will continue your exploration of Chamonix and its region with a more gastronomic approach, through a private tasting of wines and cheeses from Savoie. You will be transported by the harmonious pairings highlighting the different grape varieties and local cheeses from a rich terroir.
You will be accommodated in a comfortable 4-star hotel, within walking distance from the city center, on a half-board basis.
Day 2 - Discovering the must-do Treasures : Aiguille du Midi and Mer de Glace
Discover the must-sees of Chamonix: the Aiguille du Midi and the Mer de Glace!
You will meet your private guide at the departure point of the Aiguille du Midi cable car for a breathtaking ascent to 3,842 meters above sea level. Once at the top, you will enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the Swiss, French, and Italian Alps. The legendary peaks of Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, the Grandes Jorasses, and the Dent du Géant will unfold before you. Your guide will accompany you in exploring these stunning landscapes, amidst captivating vastness. With their sharp knowledge and the sharing of numerous anecdotes, this extensive mountain range will hold no secrets for you anymore! In every season, this experience will provide nature and mountain lovers with rare emotions.
You can also experience the "Step into the Void" for its thrills.
Once back in Chamonix, you will enjoy a Savoyard lunch at a typical restaurant with your guide, then set off to discover the Mer de Glace by taking the Montenvers Rack Railway. The Mer de Glace is the largest glacier in the French Alps. Throughout this ascent, you will enjoy panoramic views of the Chamonix valley. The renowned peaks of the Drus and the Grandes Jorasses will surround you. You will also immerse yourself in captivating tales of climbers who have undertaken crazy challenges in this environment, and, depending on availability, you may discover the Ice Cave, curved out of what is left of the glacier.

We had an outstanding day with Alban beginning with the two gondola rides to view Mont Blanc. He was especially attentive to my wife’s recent knee injury and tailored our day appropriately. We then took the scenic train ride to the historic ice cave. He brought us his homemade orange bread and had gloves for us when we outside waiting for the clouds to clear to give us a perfect view of Mont Blanc. He was not only attentive but very knowledgeable. We never enjoyed climb steps so much because the scenery and commentary were just perfect.
We had an incredible experience in Annecy! Everything was 5 stars. The tour guides were amazing!! I can’t wait to come back and do it again.
