The morning is dedicated to a privileged encounter with Alban, a young and dynamic farmer. Managing a herd of 80 cows, he produces the milk used to make the renowned Tome des Bauges AOP cheese. During the visit of his farm, he opens the doors to his daily life: animal care, farm operations, and the realities of modern agriculture. He also explains his role as a co-owner of the local cooperative, a collective model that ensures fair pricing and highlights the value of local producers.
Gourmet Picnic and Savoie Wine Tasting
Lunch takes place in the heart of nature, in one of Alban’s fields. This countryside picnic showcases the best local products: regional cured meats, cheeses including Tome des Bauges, country bread, fresh vegetables, fruits, and artisanal juices. A selection of three Savoie wines perfectly complements the meal, offering a taste of the region’s rich wine heritage. This convivial moment, surrounded by Alpine landscapes, celebrates both flavor and the direct connection between producers and guests.
Scenic Drives and Cheese-Making Discovery
In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic drive through the massif, passing forests, alpine meadows, and breathtaking viewpoints. Several stops enhance the journey, including a hidden waterfall or panoramic overlooks with stunning mountain views. The day continues with a visit to the cheese cooperative, where you discover every step of the Tome des Bauges production process, from milk collection to aging. On the way back, optional stops may include an artisanal chocolate shop for tastings, or the summit of Semnoz, offering sweeping views over the Alps and Lake Annecy.

We had a fantastic week, everything was perfect and exactly what we were looking for: the standards and service of Club Med, but without the crowds or the excess! The resort was excellent; both the children and we loved skiing and going for walks. The hotel was perfect, and the suite was wonderful. The restaurants were outstanding. We had an outstanding day with Alban beginning with the two gondola rides to view Mont Blanc. He was especially attentive to my wife’s recent knee injury and tailored our day appropriately. We then took the scenic train ride to the historic ice cave. He brought us his homemade orange bread and had gloves for us when we outside waiting for the clouds to clear to give us a perfect view of Mont Blanc. He was not only attentive but very knowledgeable. We never enjoyed climb steps so much because the scenery and commentary were just perfect.
We had an incredible experience in Annecy! Everything was 5 stars. The tour guides were amazing!! I can’t wait to come back and do it again.
