"We spent an exceptional day with Michelle in Les Bauges. Having not visited the area before I put my trust in Michelle to come up with an interesting day full of fun experiences, and she did not disappoint!

We went on a short tour of the stunning Bauges region. It is a truly beautiful area with quaint little villages filled with old farmhouses, connected by tiny winding roads. It was very clear that Michelle loves this area and brings everything to life with her knowledge and passion.

Michelle took us first to a gorgeous little pottery shop, then we ended up at an artisan Génépi producer. This tiny distillery is tucked away at the back of the head distiller, Marie’s house.

We were treated to a tasting of her whole line of digestifs, after which we went on to lunch at an exquisite little restaurant. Then we headed over to one of the local chocolatiers to learn all of the intricacies of the macaron during our baking class. It was a wonderful experience and Frédéric was a fantastic tutor.

We had a fabulous day out with Michelle. Our host was second to none, keeping us smiling from start to finish! I can not recommend 1786.travel enough. "
